Simon & Schuster UK Ltd are now looking to recruit an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Sales Operations Executive to join the Sales Operations department.

Job Profile:

As Sales Operations Executive you will be responsible for managing Simon & Schuster’s relationship with its distributor, plus customer direct deliveries for the UK trade, Simon & Schuster Australia, India, International and Special Sales customers. You will manage all aspects of the supply chain, whilst maximising efficiencies and deliver benefits. You will also be responsible for the co-ordination of our customer compliance requirements via our distribution partner.

Your Role:

The role will involve close liaison with production and printers to ensure that key delivery dates, delivery methods are maintained and understood. The Sales Operations Executive will work pro-actively, in a timely and efficient manner, with all internal departments in order to fulfil our customers’ needs for stock. An excellent relationship with customer operations will be regarded as essential.

The Candidate’s Profile: 

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of logistics, supply chain or stock control, or have a background in inventory or sales. Good IT skills will also be preferred (MS Word, Excel and Outlook), an eye for detail and accuracy is vital, strong organisational skills along with the acumen to make sound independent decisions are imperative. Commercial awareness, with a “can do” positive attitude, is a must and the ability to multi-task effectively is indispensable.
