This exciting Senior Brand Marketing Manager role is responsible for leading the dynamic Better For You (BFY) portfolio in the UK and delivering step change growth in a thriving part of the snacks market. The role oversees strong brands like Sunbites, Walkers Oven-Baked and Snack'a'Jacks.


Ultimately, this role is all about leading the local BFY AOP development; supporting the teams in the planning, design and execution of in year and next year BFY calendar events, evaluating initiatives and proposing and gaining support for course corrections across the marketing mix, and ensuring strong GTM stories for the portfolio.


Key Accountabilities:

Deliver Business Plan

  • Overall, lead the execution of the UK AOP for the BFY portfolio including flawless execution of marketing programmes and ensuring the business remains focused against AOP initiatives to deliver the BFY growth targets
  • Collaborate cross functionally to develop robust launch plans for NPD and other brand activations incl. managing projects through the Stage Gate process
  • Develop and deliver compelling customer customizations as well as sales briefing materials to engage and excite the sales teams and customers
  • Collaborate with marketing agencies to tailor and optimize category marketing programmes for the UK market as well as develop and deliver locally relevant programmes and refresh activity as required.
  • Ensure appropriate course correction on BFY portfolio working with both local and European-wide Category Teams as relevant.


Create Efficiency

 

 

 

  • Overall, manage the marketing budget for portfolio including maximising working spend
  • Collaborate with Analytics teams to ensure effective and efficient deployment of budget in media delivering continuous ROI improvement on portfolio

Future Growth

 

 

 

  • Lead UK market input into category BFY growth initiatives, ensuring UK needs are strongly represented.
  • Identify local opportunities for growth for the BFY portfolio and gain support and resource for ideas from business and category teams.
  • Build and align the local BFY AOP for the coming year


Drive Org Health

 

 

 

  • Lead the Simplicity & Agility Team Agenda within marketing; proposing and implementing initiatives that makes marketing more efficient and agile.


Develop Others

 

 

 

  • Manage, coach and develop two Brand Managers
  • Share UK BFY market insights with the Category Team and Sales Functions to support UK BFY growth agenda.


Competencies/Skills

 

 

 

  • Experienced marketer - FMCG experience desirable
  • Min 2:1 degree (or equiv) with strong A-levels and GCSEs
  • Strong brand strategy and brand planning experience
  • Strong full mix marketing communications experience (development and execution) and evidence of consistent strong delivery of great ideas through multiple consumer touch points (TV, digital, On-pack, In-store etc)
  • Solid experience of 3rd party agency management and management of cross agency teams
  • Solid experience of media planning, execution and campaign evaluation
  • Strong consumer understanding, skills in developing and understanding consumer insights to develop hypothesis and in using research to develop and confirm marketing strategies.
  • Strong NPD development and launch experience.
  • Ability to think both consumer, shopper and customer and turn compelling consumer ideas into compelling shopper activations and customer growth stories
  • High commercial acumen inc. P&L awareness.
  • Strong cross-functional project leadership experience and a track record of taking big business projects from concept to delivery.
    • Strong proven strategic thinking and analytical skills and ability to turn complex data into simple and clear business recommendations.
  • Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to influence and inspire at senior levels in the organisation
  • Proven drive, tenacity and resilience in delivering results and overcoming obstacles
  • Great talent builder with a proven track record in developing and engaging individuals and teams
