Brand Manager (FMCG) - £40K package – experience dependent

East Anglia; Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich, Colchester

Classic Brand management – consumer insight – NPD – Strategy and positioning – category management – product development

This is a crucial and key position looking after the company’s brand across the whole UK, with key objectives being long term brand planning to drive profitable growth, manage consumer insights into brand strategies and deliver product development activation plans, combining a high level of internal communication and leadership.

The key areas of the job description are:

  • Act as overall brand champion across the business with internal departments including R&D, commercial teams, supply chain and the executive board
  • Develop & manage rolling 3 year brand plans; focusing on the long-term growth of the business
  • Use consumers insights to develop robust brand positioning, develop a brand plan that encompasses channel strategy
  • Innovation planning & development with a clear pipeline of NPD
  • Manage a clear product portfolio strategy; covering pricing & promotions
  • Work with Marketing Manager to develop robust category strategies that incorporate the brand /product plans that maximise brand potential
  • Implement the brand strategy with Trade Marketing, R&D , Sales & Supply

You will have experience of working in a similar role and therefore will be aware of the expectation for you to be highly self-awareness, professionally mature and be able to demonstrate the ability to influence, convince and motivate others at all level and use this to motivate those outside of your immediate team enabling you to deliver positive solutions. 

You should be commercial aware with a very real understanding of the personal attributes that are required to succeed in this position to include, tenacity, working to changing deadlines and in a changing environment with the ability to problem solve and bring thought out and creative solutions using limited resources.

Ideally with a marketing degree/CIM qualification, however my client will consider demonstrable experience together with 3+ years FMCG marketing in a branded environment.
