Commercial manager - Fruit

Due to increased current growth and future growth plans, they are seeking a highly progressive Commercial Manager to “partner” with their  highly regarded Commercial Director. The task is to manage a major multiple retail account selling a select range of fresh produce products. The role will take full ownership of the retailer relationship and will be targeted to grow and develop a strategic alliance, to manage and drive short-medium term plans and with a proactive approach, develop new areas of business with the main retailer account.

This business operates an inclusive team culture and this role will also work closely with the operations team. As such you will be required to challenge current working processes to deliver stronger opportunity and account growth.

We would love to see that you have recent and demonstrable experience of managing and owning retail accounts and you must understand well the changing face or retail and demonstrate a contact base within buying and category management teams. You must have directly managed both category management and account management and be able to demonstrate a robust management style, giving examples of challenging leadership experiences.

The Candidate

• Will ideally hold a BSc Degree in a relevant subject and a number of years of experience in either the food or fresh produce sectors.
• Have outstanding and proven commercial success within your industry and looking to make the next step in your career.
• Possess excellent leadership qualities and experience of managing and motivating internal and external teams, you will be able to work closely with your colleagues and ensure you are creating the best possible working environment.
• International experience would be a benefit as there is lots of opportunity to travel in this role.
