An opportunity has arisen to join a leading food manufacturing business in their Category team. Our client is a family run business with a great level of history and heritage. They are part of one of the UK’s leading food group’s with a long standing reputation for integrity, excellent customer service and great products. The company deal with all major UK retailers across a mix of branded and private label products. They can boast great staff retention over a sustained period of time due to their great culture and working environment.

As Category Manager, reporting into the Head of Category and Marketing you will undertake a varied, fast-paced role. This person will need to understand the market place and provide suitable recommendations to internal and external customers. You will also need to look at key consumer and shopper trends to offer suitable recommendations. Other key responsibilities include working with the commercial team on ranging, pricing, merchandising and new promotions.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have previous category management experience in the food industry. This role is ideally suited to Category Manager looking for a new, exciting position. Category Assistant’s looking to take the next step in their career will also be considered. You must be self-motivated, enthusiastic and a team player. The business can offer a great career path and progression within the group for successful people.
