SSP UK is looking for Commercial Brand Managers to manage the commercial activity of either one of our brands or a small portfolio of brands. The brands you could be working on might include M&S Simply Food, Millie's Cookies, or our range of independently branded restaurants and bars in Airports and stations across the UK.

SSP Group Plc is a world-wide retail catering company with operations in 32 countries and employing over 30,000 people. In the UK, we operate well known branded restaurants, pubs, bars, cafés and convenience stores in airports and train stations.
The Role
As Commercial Brand Manager, you'll be working to ensure that your sites are growing their like-for-like sales growth, using tools such as range improvement, optimisation of price and promotion, upselling and maximisation of the use of space, and will drive category performance e.g. hot drinks, as well as the performance of the brand or brands.
You'll use a range of tools and approaches to achieve gross margin improvement: working with stakeholders to identify and take advantage of supplier income opportunities; drawing upon the expertise of the culinary team to simplify and standardise recipes or develop new ones; and finding ways to reduce the impact that commercial activity has on waste and labour.
The Commercial Brand Manager will lead on their brand commercial planning process so you'll present regularly to the UK and Global CEOs and other senior stakeholders
Success in this role is also highly dependent on developing an effective relationship with our Operations teams . You'll design commercial initiatives can be implemented with a good understanding of operational processes (including procurement and supply chain) and recognise the impact on front line activity
The Commercial Manager may also need to manage external stakeholders in order to ensure that SSP achieves its commercial outcomes whilst satisfying the requirements of the client and brand partners that we work with across the country.
