Our client is a well established business who provide an essential product and service to the horticulture, agriculture and fresh produce industry. They are currently looking to recruit a Technical Sales Manager who will be responsible for developing their sales across the country with a number of different customers. The market they operate in has healthy competition, but they have a strong USP, which they are looking to exploit further.
Actively seeking out new customers and selling the benefits of dealing with the business over their competitors.
But this isn't about a hard sell. If the product isn't right for them, you will be able to help find solutions that suit them.
Providing the sales support as required during the process (ongoing technical support is handed over to a dedicated team).
Keeping in close contact with existing customers to ensure their systems are still sufficient for their requirements.
You will ideally have a sales background in the horti / fresh produce industry, but some agri business development would be considered as well.
You will be self-sufficient and not need hand holding. There will be a good degree of autonomy in the role.
Will be able to sell on benefits and suitability, rather than just selling on price.
