The Eddingtons name is synonymous with innovation and an enviable track record of delivering great new housewares product to the UK retail market over the last seventeen years. 

Founded in 2000 Eddingtons Ltd is based  in Hungerford, Berkshire and a supplier of innovative housewares products to High Street and Independent retailers in the UK, Ireland and internationally. The business encompasses both products designed and developed by the Eddingtons team and partnering with Global Brands for whom Eddingtons exclusively manage their sales and marketing in the UK & Irish market. Hundreds of new products are sourced and assessed every year to be marketed and sold by the Eddingtons team to an ever increasing distribution base of retailers and caterers in the UK and internationally.

Key Milestones:

  • In 2013 we launched a Foodservice Division responsible for the sale of our products to hotels, restaurants and catering institutions across the UK & Ireland. 
  • In 2015 we acquired Epicurean Europe thus expanding our range of Outdoor Entertaining ranges including award winning Melamine tableware, Picnic Hampers, Barware and Food Storage.
  • In March 2017 we acquired selected products and ranges from Gilberts Food Equipment Ltd to further develop our offering to the Foodservice channel.

The Role:

Due to an internal promotion currently have a vacancy for an Area Sales Manager for the South East of the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to progress your career within a thriving company. You will inherit an established portfolio of customers within the independent retails sector, and will also be responsible for developing new business throughout the territory.
Supported by our head office team you will be required to establish strong working relationships with your customers and have a proven ability to identify and create new opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 years' experience in Field Sales / Area Sales / Territory Sales within the retail Industry. 
  • Preference will be given to those with a background in Housewares sales. 
  • Proven track record of developing and increasing sales.
  • Ability to identify and create new business opportunities.
  • Strong experience of selling to Independent Retailers is essential.
  • Target driven and a real desire to succeed. 
  • PC literate and the ability to analyse data and recommend opportunities for growth.
  • Living within close proximity to the Area.
