The company are a one stop shop for seasonal decorations with a portfolio of 8,500 different products. Part of an international group who turnover £450m, the business are financially stable and investing heavily to achieve their ambitious growth plan over the next 5 years.

Due to a restructure within the company my client is looking to recruit a National Account Manager to join the sales team. This person will inherit a portfolio of grocery and discount retail accounts such as Asda, Tesco, Wilko and Poundstretcher to name a few.

As National Account Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the portfolio of accounts as well as executing new business development.
  • You must understand costings and margins and be self-sufficient and have a proven track record of developing accounts.
  • You will also need to be able to work as part of a team and be able to manage your time effectively.
  • You will have a passion for introducing new business as well as being able to use your existing contacts across High Street & Grocery retailers.
  • Good communication skills are a must for this role.
  • Experience sourcing products from the Far East would be an advantage as well as FOB producing.

In order to be successful for this role you must already be at National Account Manager Level managing at least one of the top 4 grocer accounts and have experience managing the discount customers.

The successful candidate will have seasonal product experience ideally however the client will look outside of this product category to other closely related industries such as giftware.

This role has a quick career progression path to become National Account Controller within 2 – 3 years.
