Job Details

The client is a world leading provider of products and solutions for residential kitchens and bathrooms, professional foodservice, coffee preparation and semi-/public washrooms.

An exciting opportunity has now arisen for an Area Sales Manager to join the Direct Distribution team, responsible for selling one of their market leading brands into circa 150 existing Kitchen Studio accounts as well as identifying and bringing on new business accounts where possible.

You will plan, forecast and manage the business and relationships at all levels within the accounts in the geographical territory and act as the primary contact for the sales teams of all distributor partners to support display placement and sales growth within the Kitchen studios (communicate new product and commercial developments (e.g. promotions, campaigns), providing product training and acting as the focal point for customer feedback when required.

Ensuring that the sales and margin targets for the territory are achieved in relation to volume and price, you will also manage returns and credits and major queries in the distributor. You will also provide forecast insight to the supply chain team on a regular basis to ensure stock availability and a broader business understanding of the financial drivers in the accounts/channel.

In order to be considered for this role, you will have strong communication and presentation skills as well as being an excellent negotiator and relationship builder.  You will be commercially focused with an analytical skill with the ability to work under pressure and work unsupervised, yet be part of a self-motivated team.

Ideally you will have a good understanding of the Kitchen market and knowledge of retail business ideally in the Retail Kitchen Independent/Studio's market, however this is not essential if you can demonstrate strong Area Sales Management experience in a similar market perhaps bathrooms or alike. Applicants from Kitchen Designers within Retail would be considered if they can display a flair for moving into a regional role and be competent with strong journey planning etc.
