About the Company:

Our client is an up and coming FMCG business that has gone from strength to strength over the last few years, more than doubling their turnover. They are looking to grow their field sales team and increase their product presence in their independent/free trade, delicatessen and farm shop channel. The NPD is massive and very focused around their British Heritage and British sourced products.

Culturally, integrity, autonomy and hard work are what come to mind here. They are a small team and you’ll be trusted to get on with the job in hand, although you will have full support from the National Field Sales Manager and be in close correspondence with the Head of Direct Sales. You will be learning from some very senior FMCG figures who have been in the industry for a number of years and will be imparting their knowledge to you!

 

About the Role

This is a business development executive role running with a 100% new business attitude across Telford, Nottingham, Coventry, Birmingham, and Worcester. You will be working in the independent channel, with deli’s, cafes and farm shops where you will be prospecting outlets and introducing the products and the company to new clients and outlining the USP’s of how the products will be a benefit to their business.

-          Achieving first orders and inputting on the CRM system.

-          Retaining new business by follow up calls and meetings.

-          Carrying out new business calls to existing clients and upselling new flavours.

-          Being organised to allow sufficient time for planning, prospecting, following up and administration.

 

About you:

You will be a target driven individual with a real hunger for success and have some customer facing experience with a new business emphasis. You must be a structured and logical thinker to allow sufficient planning of your route, calls and meetings for the coming weeks ahead. You will be able to work on your own initiative and have strong communication skills.
