Great opportunity for an ambitious commercial manager to head up a cross-functional team in the own label category looking after grocery channel.

Our client is a leading food business. They work across several categories and are renowned for their quality ingredients.

The company's strategic objectives are based around adding value to the production process and offering high-quality, bespoke confectionery products. They drive own label proposition for the major retailers.
With fantastic offering they have strong relationships with the major mults as well as discounters.

Description

This role requires the individual to be a retail expert within the sales team, reporting directly into the MD. The role has a high level of influence and total responsibility for the own label budget that requires extensive knowledge and account management skills to optimise the business return.
  • You will both understand and contribute to the development of the business's growth strategy within Grocery accounts.
  • You will be expected to be the main day-to-day contact for several of the major multiple accounts.
  • You will be seen as the key contact by the client, and as such will need to understand and be able to articulate developments in the current market and the Company's business strategy.
  • You will work with customers, consumer insight, NPD and supply chain team, to understand requirements for distribution, ROS, pack size, shelf life, wastage etc.
  • You will drive growth in line with company strategy.


Profile

I am looking for an ambitious Commercial Manager - Own Label with strong grocery experience. You are an expert in the own label category with strong commercial acumen you have ability to analyse and deal with complex scenarios and present solutions. You are a natural leader and have ability to take your team on a journey with you.

Due to the office location (Surrey), I am keen to hear from candidates based in the South East.
