Interim Commercial Controller, Greater Manchester
Interim Commercial Director opportunity - must have branded experience - £500-600 per day depending on experience. Unique role in the industry!
Are you looking for your next Interim Commercial Controller role and your strength is around developing new business and delivering growth with new and existing customers? If so and you really do enjoy the 'hunter' role then this is an ideal long term interim role.
We are working closely with a client on this role to secure additional resource in their commercial team. Recent growth, which has come from an up-lift in sales and a number of timely strategic decisions, has generated the requirement for a senior commercial professional with experience of branded products.
The ideal background for this role will be a real business developer with the ability to drive new channels with existing customers. Your engagement and stakeholder management skills will be of a particularly high standard to communicate effectively across the Group. Once you have ascertained the internal dynamics of the business and how those relate to the customer base, the focus will be on working with existing customers and delivering this essential commercial piece. It sounds obvious but you must have food industry or FMCG experience and have dealt with the major multiples in your most recent career.
As Interim Commercial Controller, you will be numerically strong, able to analyse and interpret data; agile with numbers to think on your feet with the customer and likewise, when presenting to the Board. Whilst this is clearly a senior appointment sitting on the Executive Team, you need to have the practical and down to earth approach to drive the commercial growth needed.
Having worked in the food industry or FMCG you will be very familiar with the pace of this environment and you will need an existing network with one or more of the major UK food retailers. A real interest in food and product development is also vital for this role as it needs a passionate and enquiring mind to fully understand the nuances of the category, to convey in-depth understanding to the retailer and drive real growth through the brands.
