A leading FMCG manufacturer is looking for a QHSE Manager for their biggest UK production sites, based in the Midlands
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most technically advanced sites within the industry and help to lead it through a number of upcoming anticipated challenges.
Reporting into the Site Director, the Head of QHSE will have responsibility for all Quality and HSE on site including:
• In conjunction with Global Quality & SHE teams, create and implement effective Quality & SHE strategies to deliver world-class performance
• Providing leadership and guidance to ensure QHSE compliance
• Driving a culture of QHSE through effective formulation and implementation of strategy
• Coordination of audit programmes and retailer involvement programme
• Ensure all new equipment is installed and commissioned in line with QHSE policies
• Be an integral part of the site management team
• Manage QHSE budgets
• Work closely with project and engineering teams
The successful QHSE Manager will be/have:
• Degree or relevant industry experience in Food Science & Technology
• NEBOSH Diploma
• Experience of leading a Safety and Environment function, and delivering structured in improvements.
• In depth knowledge of relevant QSHE legislation and management systems
• Experience of working in food manufacturing & logistics environments, with significant biased towards management of food safety and food legal compliance
• Experience of leading & managing a team
• Experience of working in unionised environments
• Track record of delivering results individually and through others
• Track record of leading and implementing change management
• Track record of successful cost & budget management
• Understanding of Lean or other Continuous Improvement Principles
• Ability to proactively deliver operational projects to dedicated timescales
• Understanding of world-class standards and ability to achieve them
