Our client is one of the UK’s leading FMCG businesses with a highly recognisable portfolio of successful brands. An opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the business as Category Controller, with specific responsibility for the southern grocery multiples.

Role

The successful candidate will be joining a high performing team who are working to deliver an ambitious 5 year strategic plan.

Specific responsibilities will include

• Managing and developing a small team of category professionals
• Delivering long term sustainable sales and category growth
• Providing clear vision and strategic direction
• Driving online sales and presence

Person

As you would expect, we are keen to speak to talented senior category managers who are ready for a step up, as well as those already operating successfully at controller level.

You must be currently in a category role in an FMCG business, with extensive examples of customer facing success in the grocery multiples. Your communication skills need to be world class, as success in this role requires the delivery of complex data driven messages to influence customers.

Sales experience is desirable, as is man-management experience. Overall, we are keen to speak to driven, ambitious and successful category specialists with a talent for influencing and communicating with customers.
