My client is a market leading manufacturer of premium heavy duty Catering Equipment selling to the commercial catering and hospitality sector. This role is selling to the independent sector and customers include:

- Hotels

- Restaurants

- Caterers

- Pubs/Clubs

- Leisure

- Independent Care

The Role

The area sales manager would form strong relationships with the end-user customers directly then sell through the established dealer/distributer partners. The area sales manager will need to generate their own leads as well as working with established accounts, often working in partnership with a distributer who has a client with a specific requirement.   

The Person

My client is looking for an experienced Sales Executive living within easy reach of the central belt of Scotland, with a proven record of successfully selling into the HoReCa market place. Ideally candidates will have experience of selling Commercial Catering Equipment or a thorough understanding of the Commercial Foodservice and Catering market. Experience of selling through catering equipment distributors/dealer would also be advantageous.

The successful candidate should demonstrate:

- Proven success of generating new business.

- Managing a portfolio of accounts.

- Tenacity, drive and self motivation.

- Ability to sell premium brands, highlighting and demonstrating the benefits to the client.

- Flexibility and a keenness to learn and develop your career.

- Excellent communication skills.

- The ability to negotiate at all levels.

- Understanding of the importance of a good brand and company reputation.
