About the role
We are looking for a Southern based Key Account Manager to join the Hallmark team, this is a 12 month fixed term contract with the view it may be extended.
Reporting into the Divisional Sales Manager, the purpose of the Key Account Manager role is to:
- Grow the revenue and profitability of existing business within the current customer account base.
- Actively seek out new business by proactively targeting non-stockists and key competitive accounts.
- Expand the range of products sold beyond our established range of cards and gift wrap.
- Establish Hallmark in new channels of business, including Garden Centre’s and Department Stores.
- Take an active and supportive role at Divisional/National sales meetings and product launches.
- Assist the Divisional Sales Manager in the development and mentoring of team members.
- Be an excellent ambassador for Hallmark with customers, colleagues and trade contacts.
About you
The successful candidate will:
- Have a lively personality and be passionate about what they do.
- Be able to think on their feet.
- Have previous sales experience and evidence of basic selling skills training.
- Be a highly motivated individual who constantly exceeds sales targets and demonstrates a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
- Be a strong relationship builder.
- Be an organised, operational planner with keen analytical skills and a strategic thinker.
- Have experience of prospecting new business by identifying and opening accounts in non-traditional channels of operation.
