The company:

A British based Cosmetics distributor is looking for an experienced National Account Manager to support the development and expansion of their business within key accounts. The business has a real entrepreneurial spirit and they are keen to find the right person to help manage a new brand acquisition. They pride themselves on the service level offered to both their customers and the wide variety of accounts that they currently service.

The role:

You will be reporting directly into the National Sales Manager and you will be responsible for several national accounts initially. The initial account base that you manage will include John Lewis and Debenhams and will cover both aspects of retail and wholesale. As the role develops, this will become a multi-brand role covering a wide variety of accounts which will include the likes of; Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Selfridges. The role will be based in the Office three days per week with the rest of the time covering Central London dealing with the Accounts and Retail teams in store. Experience within the existing accounts is essential as well as managing both retail and wholesale elements.

You will be responsible for developing and influencing Partner relationships to reach agreed sales targets and identifying and securing new Partners in line with Company objectives and make suggestions.

Key responsibilities:

·         Develop relationships with key Partners in order to develop and influence Brand positioning

·         Devise and implement the annual business plan for the UK wholesale business.

·         Active management of John Lewis and Debenhams accounts to achieve agreed sales targets.

·         To open new Wholesale accounts in line with Company objectives and maximise the potential of existing accounts.

·         To ensure the smooth running of the stock replenishment process and liaise with Operations team members accordingly to negotiate correct par levels for each store.

·         To successfully sell-in the Marketing Programmes to each of the National Accounts and maximise store support for these activities.

·         To develop and implement activities tailored to each National Account as needed and directed to maximise business potential.

·         To provide effective communication and strong working relationships with each National Account Management team and ensure effective communication and co-ordinated activity between brand management and retail teams.

·         To monitor and communicate competitor activity and performance within the allocated National Accounts.

·         To implement and complete projects as requested by the Owner/Commercial Director.

The person:

The right person for this role will be enthusiastic, self-confident, self-motivated with strong Commercial business acumen. You will have a demonstrable sales success, ideally with a Natural Skincare brand however, wider beauty experience is essential. You will have experience of an owner managed Culture with a real entrepreneurial spirit and a questioning nature.
