ABOUT THE COMPANY

My client is a leading FMCG sales, marketing and distribution company with a portfolio of branded food and drink products. They work closely with the top retailers in the grocery, health food, high street, discount and off trade environments. Due to their rapid expansion in the market, they are now seeking a National Account Manager to join their team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As National Account Manager reporting into Sales Director, you will be looking after the number one account for the business - Holland & Barrett and a mixture of other national accounts in the UK focused on the main grocery multiples and the role will also involve focus on export opportunities. You will be tasked on managing current business and achieve new listings or increase the turnover of these accounts, managing price increases, promotional activity and the NPD feedback process. The role is home based, however you will spend time visiting the retailers, and some time will be spent travelling in respect to export opportunities along with regular meetings with the rest of the commercial team around the UK.

ABOUT YOU:

You have a strong Commercial background with National Account Management experience, ideally gained in an FMCG environment. Importantly you must have a track record of success working with brands - ideally you will have already dealt with the major supermarkets in the UK and may already have experience in export business development. Working on the Holland & Barrett account will be a skill you are more than competent in and related tracked success in this area is preferable.

You are dynamic and ambitious - comfortable presenting your ideas both internally and externally. You will possess strong commercial and financial acumen and have experience of working with national retail grocery accounts.
