This is a great opportunity for experienced Food Buyers with varying levels of experience to join a hugely successful, speciality food business. The business is at the forefront of food innovation with global suppliers and is well-respected within the retail, foodservice and food manufacturing industries.

To meet the ever increasing demands of the business it is now looking for a number of Buyers and Senior Buyers to join its established procurement function. Our client is looking for experienced Food Buyers with varying levels of experience gained from either a retail, foodservice or food manufacturing environment.

As a Food Buyer your key responsibilities will include:

• Manage the supply base to ensure quality, price and service levels are exceeded at all times
• Negotiate contract terms to achieve optimum commercial benefits
• Work closely with Buying Managers supporting on NPD launches
• Assist in the development of Junior Buyers
• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders

Candidates will need to be experienced Food Buyers from a retail, food manufacturing or foodservice environment with knowledge of working with an international supply base. A strong a track record of strategic supplier management and strong project/category management skills would be highly advantageous.
