Detailed Job Description

The Senior National Account Manager will strengthen Pelican's position in becoming a leading procurement specialist in this customer facing role.
The successful candidate will spend time effectively delivering a bespoke winning proposition of purchasing, operation and finance that is completely flexible, scalable and adaptable to the client.
You will develop and implement an account management strategy for a portfolio of clients with multimillion annual purchasing spend across private and public sectors. You will develop relationships with key stakeholders within your accounts to identify gaps/opportunities to cross-sell/up-sell Pelican's ten winning business solutions.
You will also be tasked with analysing, planning, reporting & forecasting and managing post sale relationships with the assistance of internal stakeholders.

Candidate's Profile

The successful candidate will be commercially aware wita strong understanding of P&L, as well as a track record of managing relationships with customers, understanding their needs and delivering appropriate solutions.
The Senior National Account Manager will have experience of managing sizeable accounts with multiple buying centers and complex procurement needs, ideally within both private and public sectors.
With a track record/ability to work on multiple projects in a tender led sales environment, prioritising workload and utilising internal support network the Senior National Account Manager will have experience within foodservice or wholesale channel.
You will also have the ability to build strong internal relationships working closely with cross functional teams. You will be ideally based in the Home Counties, as the head office is just outside of Guildford and be comfortable with national travel.
Knowledge of purchasing and supply chain is of particular interest. This role could suit a buyer who has experience of managing national accounts.
