About our Client:

A heritage, much loved, global business in the FMCG branded food market. The brands have been around for decades and I am certain that you will have at least one or two of their products in your kitchen! Following two years solid growth, they are now looking for an entrepreneurial and passionate Senior National Account Manager to join the UK leadership team.

The business is highly commercial with massive NPD and innovation into new meal experiences - making this a really fast paced and exciting place to be. This business spend a huge amount of their investment on category data to spot gaps in the market which in turn innovate and create new products that will make headline news in the food industry.

Culturally the company prides itself on an autonomous and flexible culture whilst allowing anyone coming in a very real opportunity to take hold of your accounts, get hands on and run with them. You will be tasked with making your own calculated decisions which will be key in the remit of driving growth and incremental new listings in the Top 4 retailers.

About the Role:

The Senior National Account Manager will be managing a top grocery account worth circa £50million with full P&L responsibility and will have superb Joint Business Planning and Trading Agreement experience.

You’ll take responsibility for the team with 2-3 direct reports who are performing well and are looking forward to having a new mentor join them.

The commercial breadth you will be afforded in this business is large, as part of the senior leadership team you will be involved in commercial strategy planning across the wider business and take a lead in NPD and product teams.

CUSTOMER MANAGEMENT

  • Delivering  the Account Business Plan with customers
  • Establish regular contact with key customer contacts to maximise business opportunities with the account/s (e.g. buyers, category managers, operations, stock controllers) 
  • Coordinate Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing and commercial activities to deliver total customer satisfaction

MANAGING THE TEAM/LEADERSHIP

  • Support the Grocery Trading Director and other senior management with motivation of the team and development of your overall business and growth strategy

About You:

Our client is looking for a Senior National Account Manager who has prior experience of dealing with UK top 4 multiples and ideally blue chip trained. Having your own ideas, making your own decisions and broadening your commercial horizons is high on the agenda.  A real team player is needed to help drive the business in line with the global strategy.
