The company

My client is a very well-known company with a number of recognisable products and licences across the Gift and Stationary Market. Based in Yorkshire they state that; ‘Innovation and Creativity’ are the Pillars of the company’s brand, as they strive to develop quality products that are both original and desirable.

They have a well-established sales team and a great working atmosphere which is led by the senior leadership team. They have excellent market penetration in the Top 4 Multiples and High street retailers along with a strong presence with the online retailers. As a result of their strong growth over the last 2 years and the amount of new opportunities that this has generated for the business, they are now looking to appoint an additional National Account Manager to join their team.

The Role

As the National Account Manager you will report directly into the Sales Director you will be a key member of the sales team managing a variety of accounts. These accounts could include Asda, Toys ‘R’ Us, The Range, Shop Direct and a range of smaller chain businesses. This role will require you to be commutable to the head office in West Yorkshire at least 2 to 3 days per week, with the remainder of your time spent visiting your customers and driving sales. This is a very hands on role where you will need to be used to working in a fast paced environment and flexible with your time.

The right candidate

The right candidate will have a background in licensed Stationary, Gift or Toys and have previous account management experience. You will be commercially focused and capable of delivering results in a cost effective manner. You will have strong organisational, planning and communication skills and have the ability to work as part of a team.

You will also be capable of building working relationships and networks with people for a range of backgrounds and culture. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with the right attributes and experience to join a fast moving and dynamic company.
