Freedom Brewery was originally founded in 1995 in Fulham, London, to become the longest established microbrewer of lager to date. In 2004, Freedom Brewery moved to its current home in the heart of rural Staffordshire, on a private estate of rolling countryside and near the world famous brewing town of Burton-on-Trent.

They are fully committed to sustainable production and have invested in new brewing and storage facilities as well as developing a wetland drainage system to treat waste water from the brewing process. The recently won the SIBA Green Business of the Year award at the 2016 Business & Industry Awards for their efforts to ‘fully consider the environmental impact of its business at every level’. This includes water and waste management, energy efficiency and supporting biodiversity in the local landscape.

To confirm their commitment to ensuring the success of Freedom, they recently appointed a new MD and are looking to strengthen the commerical team 

AREA MANAGER - North West 

We are looking for an Area Sales Manager to drive commercial success, customer relationships and strategic development within independent on-trade and groups via direct delivery and working with wholesale partners. With high levels of passion and energy the successful candidate will have responsibility for developing strong relationships, new business, account development and excellent sales in the defined territory.

The salary is aimed at attracting the best. Furthermore, the role offers a great opportunity for future progression.

Essential criteria

- Background exposure to working with premium drinks

- Sales experience in either drinks or FMCG sales

- Demonstrable evidence of success, creativity and commercial acumen

- Strong negotiation, organisation and influencing skills to drive commercial success

- A dynamic approach to sales

- Graduate/Degree

The Role:

  • To develop profitable sales within a pre determined base of On Trade Outlets within North West as well as seeking and winning new business distribution.
  • To attend and represent Freedom Brewery at relevant Trade and Consumer events and where appropriate to undertake mutually agreed promotional activity to build consumer trial and awareness.
  • The role is home based and you are expected to manage your time to successfully develop lasting relationships with key contacts within the trade.
  • Monitor, collate and collect market intelligence to utilise in planning and customer communications.

To do all this it takes a hardworking and tenacious individual with an articulate demeanour and exceptional relationship building skills. You will have a proven track record of driving sales and distribution from within the On Trade drinks industry or the FMCG world and a clear understanding of the industry and current working relationships and networks. You will be self motivated and organised, working on your own initiative and managing your diary through effective journey and call planning.

An enthusiastic and passionate approach to work and beer is essential.
