Are you an experienced produce buyer with a track record of delivering savings across a supply chain?

About the Employer:

We are working with a leading food business who are gearing up for growth. These are exciting times. As a senior buyer, you will be responsible for providing strategic framework and direction for the company with regards to raw materials and influencing the commercial relationships with customers.

With previous relevant experience of raw materials and fresh produce buying you will bring expert knowledge of the retail supply chain.


About the Role:

You will be responsible for meeting the produce budgets and providing benchmarking measures to demonstrate competitive buying. It will be your responsibility to provide predictable pricing and sustainable supplier relationships. You will need to control risks in supply - influenced by weather, prices, logistics and international political situations. You will need to accurately forecast prices, control stock levels and be responsible for the flow of purchasing information throughout the company.


Ideal Candidate:

Minimum Requirements:

To be considered for this role as a minimum you will need 5 years' experience in fresh produce and have a complete understanding of the supermarket supply chain.
