Commercial Management Accountant | West Sussex | £35-£40k

Our client is a leading food business and are looking for a commercial management accountant:

Main Duties:

Work with line managers to develop a continually improving monitoring system, which is valuable, timely and user-friendly. Designed to enhance their departmental financial knowledge and thus respond to the information provided.
Provide a support service by working with line managers and the Management team to help make financial decisions.
Develop and manage financial reporting systems.
Controlling and forecasting income and expenditure.
Ensuring spend is kept in line with budget.
Analysing financial performance and contributing to medium and long term business planning/forecasts.
Offering professional judgement on financial matters and advising on ways of improving business performance.
Advising on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions.
Interpreting and communicating financial data to non-financial managers.
Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems and suggesting improvements where needed.
Adhoc analysis as required by line managers.

Main Duties - other

Answer finance related issues and provide high quality customer service across the company.
Keep up to date with developments in Finance by reading relevant journals, going to meetings and attending relevant courses.

Professional Experience:

Able to operate effectively in a high volume FMCG operation.
Possess a good understanding of lasted training, learning and development techniques.
Experience of Budgets and Financial controls.
Able to work diplomatically and confidentially as a management accountant (or similar) level in an environment of margin control.
Demonstrable experience of instigating, managing and delivering projects both inside the Finance department and throughout operations.

Qualifications:

Professional accounting qualification
Higher level degree from a first grade level UK university
Clean UK Driving Licence (Essential)
