The Role
We are looking for a Senior National Account Manager (Senior NAM) to jointly plan and execute budgeted volume and profit within defined accounts or channels. Responsible for managing the negotiations and the development of mutual business plans, their implementation and reporting on their progress
Typical Day
The successful Senior NAM will have the following responsibilities:
- P&L responsible for existing accounts
- Set agreed case costs/TCAM per tonne with Revenue Management and Commercial Finance for standard and short dated stock, with volume breaks.
- Scrap Business Management including own label stock under 50% life + factory bulk.
- New Business Development. Going to current wholesale 3rd party customers / New customers that have grown to a level that we can deal direct / Licensing / Gifting
- Setting objectives and achieving in customer meetings
- Daily credit control (inc aged debt, promotional invoices and the sign off)
- Forecasting (planning, reviewing and inputting)
- Promotional planning, evaluation, reviewing and communication
- Negotiation within agreed boundaries
- Reporting day performance against budget, targets and forecast.
- Support administration
- Cross functional project involvement both internally and externally
About You
The successful Senior NAM will have/be:
- Degree educated
- Experience in either an Account Manager / Executive or similar role
- Understanding of Value Channel would be advantageous
- Proven Sales and trading experience, or similar, achievements
- Financial competency
