The company is family-owned, with a strong reputation in the marketplace built up over 40 years of successful trading. With revenues in excess of £40m, they can offer retailers over 13,000 SKUs across the food, accessories, healthcare and aquatic product areas. Providing customers with exceptional service across all areas of the operation is a key commitment of the business, which has led to a number of awards for outstanding customer service. As the business continues to develop, Pedigree Wholesale is now looking to recruit a Key Account Manager / E-Commerce Account Manager to their team.
Reporting to the Sales Director, you will join a close knit sales team who enjoy a fantastic relationship with each other. This is a great opportunity to develop and grow a number of Key Accounts with customers including garden centre groups and important online retailers such as Vet UK and Medic Animal. Fundamentally, you will be responsible for enhancing the relationship with these key accounts by utilising your strong communication and inter-personal skills. In addition, you will be expected to use your analytical and commercial attributes in order to hit monthly targets and achieve maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration.
Given that this position holds responsibility for a significant value of turnover, you must be a motivated and a good thinker, with the drive and independence to succeed. You must have a proven track record of delivering results in a Key Account Manager position or be a high calibre Area Sales Manager ready for the next step up in your career. Experience of the pet industry is not required, however a background in selling consumer goods to both traditional and online retailers is desired. In order to hit the ground running, candidates are required to have experience of handling e-commerce customers and a knowledge of managing the route to market with such online customers. You must be flexible in your personality and not afraid to roll your sleeves up and be hands on.
