The business was founded to provide a service to brands and content owners looking for a route to market into new retail channels, that that they would not otherwise be able to access. To successfully deliver this, the business is structured into Retail and E-Tail divisions.

The E-Tail division is focused on offering a full service route to market for brands onto the key on-line Marketplaces in the UK; eBay, Amazon, and Google Shopping. Our client’s expertise in management of marketplaces has been developed through The Entertainment Store and The Biggest Toy Store on eBay.

Our Client works with the biggest Music Labels and Film Studios in the world such as Warner Brothers, Twentieth Century Fox, Entertainment One and Universal Music Group. Alongside Music and Film, our client is developing relationships across the books and toys industry to further enhance their product selection for customer.

The Role

The role sits within the Online Team, reporting directly into the Head of Online. You will work closely with the Head of Online to deliver the operational objectives of The Entertainment Store, The Biggest Toy Store and other new, non-entertainment stores, to deliver an excellent retail experience for Customers and Suppliers alike.

It is important that you have previous toy experience.

You will be engaged in every aspect of the stores’ retail offering, taking an idea from initial proposal to delivery onsite and performing analysis afterwards. You will be working directly with Marketplace Suppliers and managing internal teams to deliver your retail offer.

The role will provide excellent scope for development of skills and qualities given the diverse portfolio of products and brands, working directly with the Head of Online. The successful candidate will be capable of demonstrating a broad range of skills and qualities but, above all, a desire to deliver excellence in everything they do… a self-starter with a determination to win.

Skills & experience we are looking for:

  • Buying & KPI Management:  Working with Suppliers both large and small, you will be responsible for a multi-million pound purchasing budget each year to create a ‘best in class’ consumer retail proposition. Key to your success will be the management of, and adherence to, the business’ internal KPIs to ensure that both sales and value are delivered. You will proactively identify new product ranges and trends in the market and ensure that, where appropriate, our client leads in these areas.
  • Retail Offer Creation: Working with the Head of Online, you will be responsible for the end to end creation of a retail offer across selected Stores. Identification of the right selection and the right price for the retail offer will ensure that their proposition remains relevant to our client’s customers. You will work with the internal Retail Marketing team to bring the offer to life on both the run Stores and Marketplace corporate space, to ensure that, through their Marketplace relationships, the offer reaches the maximum number of shoppers.
  • Forecasting & Analysis: You will work within budgetary guidelines and actively manage this to deliver your objectives. You will have strong analytical skills and will forecast sales expectations, identifying opportunities to improve these going forward.
  • Marketplace Management: You will be the main point of contact for eBay for all of the Stores that our client operates, ensuring that each store and the offers within the store receive the maximum onsite coverage. You will present business reviews to eBay and develop the relationship so that our client remains a managed seller within the eBay organisation.
  • Project Deployment: Utilising appropriate internal tools, you will assist the Head of Online with development projects, including the on boarding of new partners and the launching of new stores.
