National Account Manager – Branded Food – High-street Retail

As a leading FMCG sales, marketing and distribution company, my client boast a portfolio of highly regarded branded food and drink products operating across the grocery, health food, high street and discounter channels. The business is built on ethics and has a passion for ethical sourcing, supporting charities and having a strong awareness for consumer’s health and wellbeing. They have a customer focused approach and strive for continuous improvement, organic growth and injecting personality into everything they do. Due to exciting and ambitious expansion plans, they are looking to add a National Account Manager to join their high performing commercial team.

As National Account Manager, your day to day responsibilities will be:

  • Manage the most high profile account in the business – Holland & Barrett
  • Grow and develop opportunities within the Export Channel.
  • Through detailed analysis you will create sales strategies to win new business.
  • Increase turnover of account base via promotional activity and price increases.
  • Full responsibility for the launch of 4 NPD lines in 2017.
  • You will be in direct contact with large retail chains, attending meetings and develop strong customer relationships.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have a strong Commercial background with National Account Management experience, ideally gained in an FMCG environment. Importantly you must have a track record of success working with brands - ideally you will have already dealt with the major supermarkets in the UK and may already have experience in export business development. Working on the Holland and Barret account will be a skill you are more than competent in and related tracked success in this area is preferable.
