Your new company
One of the UK's leading high street pharmacy retailers, with a brand that is going from strength to strength and plans to continue to transform the business, is looking to appoint a skilled Parallel Imports Buyer to manage both domestic and international suppliers to optimise the key drivers of profit, stock holding and product availability.

Your new role
In this role you will be responsible for managing the margin for your category through maximising relationships with exiting supply partners and the identification of new suppliers, negotiating cost prices and securing stock in line with budget and time parametres. You will be the focal point in the communication of new product launches, pricing and promotional activity for your category. You will also work closely with the other Buyers to ensure consistency of the company-wide product offer along with a joined up approach to developing supplier relationships

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will need to be highly commercial as you will be making informed decisions based on your knowledge of your marketplace. You will also be a shrewd negotiator, have excellent organisation skills and highly IT literate. Financial awareness and the ability to understand complex data in a high volume, fast paced retail, wholesale or FMCG buying environment is essential. Parallel Imports experience would be advantageous, but is not essential.
