Job Details

“My client is an SME food trading business with an exciting branded and own-label product range. Already established in foodservice and retailers, they are looking to continue to grow strategically within these sectors.

This role is a Senior Commercial Manager position that will involve high level interaction with major foodservice, wholesale and contract catering customers.  

The business imports food products and are looking for someone who has worked in a trading capacity. My client are looking for someone to hit the ground running and develop existing and new relationships”

The Role

  • Report to and liaise with the Managing Director on the week’s activities, past, present and future.
  • Proactively increasing sales to new and established customers to meet and if possible exceed sales targets.
  • Developing relationships with Brakes/Bidvest and other large food distributors.
  • Man-management of a team.
  • Trading and sourcing food products.

The Candidate

  • The successful applicant will have managed and developed strong contacts within foodservice sector. 
  • Experience handling Brakes/Bidvest and other large food distributors will be advantageous.
  • Worked with branded and private label products.
  • Worked with trading/sourcing capacity.
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set.
  • Strong negotiator and commercially aware.
  • Experience working with an SME.

What’s on Offer

  • Monday to Friday.
  • Office based in London and customer visits.
  • Progression opportunity to grow into Director level.
  • £70,000-£85,000 basic + car allowance + bonus package + benefits.
