POSITION PURPOSE AND PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Here at PepsiCo we're on the lookout for a new Internal Communications Manager to be based at our UK head office at Green Park in Reading for a nine-month contract with the possibility of extension.

We're looking for an experienced Communications professional who can act as a true business partner in a complex and fast-moving organisation.

Working in a small team, the post-holder will manage and develop our digital internal channels and create and deliver editorial content across the UK Business Unit. They will work closely with colleagues from across the UK to advise, coach and partner on highly visible projects and work with the European and Global Internal Communications teams to strengthen engagement with business priorities.

Key responsibilities:
  • Partner with Head of Internal Communications to develop and deliver the Internal Communications strategy and plan.
  • Manage and develop our digital internal communications channels - mypepsico.com, Yammer, PepFeed, digital signage, video and newsletters.
  • Support the Head of Internal Communications in the delivery of face-to-face channels - town halls, management cascade, Exec and senior leader huddles.
  • Oversees internal communications campaigns from conception to execution, working with stakeholders across the business to understand needs and meet objectives
  • Develop and implement engaging content across all channels to inform and educate UK colleagues about company news, products, policies and strategic policies. Provide daily writing, editing and content management support. Actively support and contribute UK content to European and Global channels.
  • Support the Head of Internal Communications with the development and distribution of Executive messages.
  • Work with agencies and suppliers to develop and deliver internal communications campaigns to achieve PepsiCo's business objectives.
  • Conduct surveys and focus groups to assess employee communication needs and results, and help develop plans and strategies based on results.
  • Day-to-day duties include managing the internal communications calendar and the team's budget.




  • QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES

    Skills and experience required:
  • Educated to degree level, ideally with a Communications related qualification e.g. Journalism, Communications or Business
  • Proven track record in the delivery of creative high-impact internal communications campaigns and plans to deliver desired business outcomes
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with extensive experience in creating key communications materials (presentations, articles, executive communications, scripts, messaging documents, videos)
  • Demonstrable experience in managing intranets, especially SharePoint and other digital communications channels
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong working relationships with diverse employee groups and stakeholders
  • Experience of managing agencies and third party suppliers to time and budget
  • Project and event management and budget management experience
  • Sound business acumen
  • Self-motivation and an ability to work autonomously
