National Account Manager

 Tor Coatings is looking to appoint an experienced B2B National Account Manager to manage and support existing retailer accounts and generate new business.

The role will be split between sales development and account management. You will be required to plan and then develop new business by targeting identified potential customers. You will also take on two well known existing clients, whose business you will be expected to grow.

 Alongside sales and account management, you will also be expected to provide support to other key accounts.

 This newly created position sits within a structured sales and marketing team, reporting into the European Marketing Director.

 The role is focused on the market-leading Rust-Oleum and Zinsser consumer paint brands.

 Key responsibilities include:

  • Full management of two existing key accounts: a leading online retailer and a home and garden retail chain.
  • Providing a support function for our key DIY retail customers, which includes but is not limited to: Agreeing promotional campaigns, providing in-store support and training. Agreeing planograms / visual merchandising. Working closely with colleagues within the Tor Coatings Marketing team and coordinating new product launches.
  • Developing new business with garden centres, general grocers, craft and hobby retailers, cash and carrys, craft and hobby outlets, department stores, DIY/ home improvement chains and variety retailers.

Tor Coatings is based in County Durham however the majority of customers are based in the South, with some in the midlands, therefore this position would suit someone geographically positioned within reach of the customer base.
