The ideal candidate will have relevant experience managing product mix and promotional initiatives driving growth with the largest distributors serving these markets.   

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Become the Voice of the Distributor and User to define strategy and tactical implementation to expand distribution through product mix, pricing, and promotion across all SCJ Brands sold through Commercial B2B channels.  Countries supported include: UK, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Poland, and Czech Republic.
  • Recruit, train and inspire a customer facing team comprised of a Sales Customer Marketing Associate and Sales Analyst.
  • Define and implement product portfolio strategy and ongoing life-cycle management to insure optimal mix.
  • Engage and respond to Distributor requests for sales and marketing assets across multiple channels and countries.
  • Perform joint sales calls with Sales teams to engage distributor buyers, marketers, and their communication teams.
  • Ongoing product, segment, competitive and industry analysis to maintain and expand market share.
  • Drive research to continually gain user insights leading to a high performing solution set.
  • Define essential analytics needed to drive revenue and develop collaborative relationships with distribution partners.
  • Champion the development of 360º integrated communications along the path to purchase including; Sales tools, digital presence, trade shows, print collateral, distributor branch displays, advertising, special events, and ad hoc opportunities.  Partner with agencies to implement activity.
  • Conduct ongoing collaboration with R&D in product commercialization and performance objectives.
  • Ensure Team supports the “end-to-end” product development process.
  • Lead and manage all label design and development for focus countries.
  • Important: This is a dynamic work environment; numerous occasions will arise where support is required outside the job description.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Role requires a broad background in product management, customer marketing, sales, and creative problem solving, translating user insights into viable business strategies, alignment of cross-functional team/management, and partnering with internal/external resources.
  • The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with a proven history motivating and developing tactical sales customer marketing teams.  Must have direct-line employee reporting experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate concisely across all levels of management and customers.
  • Proven ability to drive results via creative opportunity identification and execution.
  • Demonstrated track record of achievements.
  • High sense of urgency and personal accountability. Ability to manage and motivate employees towards a high degree of initiative and speed.
  • Organisational and planning skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Solid analytical skills with some experience using market data (e.g. AC Nielsen, Kantar) and an ability to make decisions.
  • Degree level education or equivalent.
  • Fully mobile and a willingness to travel (25%).

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Fluent in English, both written and oral.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs.
  • Some sales and brand marketing experience in an FMCG environment.
  • Prior experience working within B2B commercial distribution channels selling CPG products preferred.
