As one of the most recognisable brands in the world, and part of a truly world class organisation, this successful and ambitious division has recently delivered a truly forward looking transformation programme.  This has been focussed on delivering its customers and consumers’ demands for quality products and services, maintaining its competitive market position and increasing its footprint in growing markets. Consequently a new and exciting role has been created in the European Marketing team for a Channel Marketing Manager to lead and manage the division’s fastest growing channel.

This channel is seen as an integral growth engine for the business and the role will focus on the successful development of relevant and innovative offers to ensure marketing excellence is a source of competitive advantage in this segment.  Supporting local teams across 28 countries in Europe, the role will need to positively impact the delivery volume, turnover and gross margin targets.

Key accountabilities:

  • Support marketing plans in Europe
  • Provide local insights from markets to help support the channel strategy development
  • Liaise with and influence key stakeholders; Commercial Mangers, Channel Managers, and Marketing Activation Managers to align your channel plans with marketing priorities
  • Plan and manage marketing budget resource to deliver offer and execution
  • Monitor implementation of programmes as per marketing plans to ensure on time, within budget delivery and agreed return on investments

Key selection criteria:

  • Evidence of building and delivering effective B2B offers and propositions within a large complex organisation, ideally with understanding of the distributor market
  • Proven product, proposition and channel marketing experience within a local or European distributor led market
  • Able to effectively translate, align and implement the offer strategy from a Centre of Excellence team across a number of different European markets
  • Capable of working with a geographically and functionally diverse group of stakeholders, act as a true channel ambassador by demonstrating the current and future potential market value of segment
  • Exceptional influencer and stakeholder manager who takes a collaborative approach to working
  • A self-starter, confident communicator, with an entrepreneurial and ‘can-do’ spirit
