Job Details

Highly innovative and the true leader in first to market products, our client is now searching for a Category Controller to lead and develop the strategic category vision across a number of the major retailers.

Reporting to the Head of Category Management, you will work closely with the marketing and sales teams to deliver best in class strategies to drive growth and share of space.

The Role:

  • Develop and deliver through your team with clear category strategy plans per retailer.
  • Lead independent relationships across retailer contacts.
  • Maximise sales and growth for the categories.
  • Identify commercial opportunities and make recommendations to the sales teams.
  • Day to day management of the team taking responsibility for their individual personal development.

The Individual:

  • An experienced Senior Category Manager or Category Controller from within an FMCG food manufacturing background.
  • Experience of chilled food would be an advantage although not a pre-requisite.
  • Prior experience of managing Top 4 grocery accounts.
  • Demonstrable people management experience.
  • A track record of creating and delivering category strategy.
  • Highly organised and able to work within a fast paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborative approach.
