You successfully influence at Board level, work effectively as part of a multi-functional team and with external technology and consultancy partners. This client is a successful grocery retailer with a forward-thinking leadership team and an established portfolio of decision support and technology tools. They invest significantly to understand their consumers to enhance their shopping experience and also to build more effective relationships with their key FMCG suppliers. In this central, strategic resource they have a committed team who take accountability and are focused on solving real commercial issues - using technology, a scientific approach and new techniques to shape their future Category Development Strategy. 

In this role you will take ownership for significant projects within the Category and Strategy team. These will be highly complex and technically challenging initiatives which will test your FMCG experience and critical thinking abilities.  You will be supported by a cross functional technology and off-shore development team and regularly report progress and achievements at Board level. You will quickly get up to speed and be expected to take a strategic view but immerse in the detail when required. This is a strategic but varied and challenging role which offers a fresh alternative and different career path.
