Job Details

“A new position has arisen with an exciting branded SME who supply artisan food products mainly into the Major Grocery retailers are looking for a driven, motivated National Account Manager to manage multiple accounts including wholesalers, foodservice and export customers. They have had a lot of growth recently and keen to add a member to their team. The role and responsibility will adapt slightly to the right person but the basics will remain the same, your key customer relationship with be Morrisons, Co-op, other retailers, Wholesalers and export distributors. You will be expected to make P+L decisions for the business and will work closely in partnership with customers, likely 2-3 visits per week.”

The Role

  • Report to and liaise with the Head of Sales on the week’s activities, past, present and future.
  • Increase product range and distribution in existing customers
  • Developing and growing the brand
  • Fully understand the accounts needs and proactive customer management
  • Improve long term sustainability with customers
  • Achieve targets and sales growth to deliver sales plans
  • Prepare and support Head of Sales with key accounts
  • Facilitate marketing and search for export opportunities
  • P&L responsibility and JBP management

 

The Candidate

  • The successful applicant will have minimum 3 years of account management in UK grocery channel  
  • Experience of P&L and JBP
  • Experience with category, project management and data analysis
  • Someone who is motivated, ambitious and a great communicator.
  • Strong on Microsoft Excel
