An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and successful Business Development Manager to join this market leading fresh foods business looking after the UK and Ireland business, helping to continue to grow the region and shaping the future direction of the brands across the UK & Ireland. We are looking for candidates that can base themselves either in the Greater London region or in Belgium.

My client specialises in the production and packaging of fresh and chilled foods and have a passion for the taste of freshness. My client is based in Belgium and operates very successfully in many strong European markets.

Description

The successful candidate for the Business Development Manager role will look after the existing Irish business but will be tasked on incremental growth and continue the good work that has been done on recent times. They will also look after the entire UK key account management and business development side of sales; identifying possibilities and prospecting potential retail partners as well as sourcing opportunities within the food-service channel. We are also looking for this candidate to prospect across further European territories also, identifying and building relationships with key retailers.

Profile

The successful candidate for the Business Development Manager role will have a successful track record of developing food brands within the FMCG, private label and or retail sector in the UK and Europe. The ability to work autonomously, prospecting and winning new business. Strong commercial skills, P&L, commercial acumen and strong on pitching and tendering for new business. Strong track record of achievement, as well as a good level of education.

We need someone to be able to travel across Europe as well as focusing on the UK market therefore we need someone to be based either in London with access to all the major transport links or in Belgium where the HQ is, but then travel to the UK key customers.

Job Offer

circa £50,000 per annum + bonuses and benefits
