Shopper Marketing Manager-MAR001297

Grow with us whilst building working relationships with UK&I customers to gain customer commitment on retailer specific in store marketing activity in small stores and business development channels. Drive visibility and maximize 'decide' in the path to purchase of our brands and innovations.

Develop and tailor the Shopper Marketing plan alongside the Cereal Business Unit (CBU) toolbox to meet various retailer corporate themes and events in order to maximize execution and net sales, in UK & ROI, across our categories.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

You will be part of our success by:

•Drive the development and execution of the shopper marketing annual plan and budget in line with the commercial strategy, brand strategies, and customer strategies
•Drive the retailer relationships across all channels, and business development with the category marketing contacts for those customers. Sell in the quarterly commercial priorities to secure best in class in store execution
•Ensure the plans maximizes ROI by customer and media type (sampling, posters, trolley media, car park banners, security shrouds, sampling etc.). 
•Work cross functionally with the brand team, commercial strategy and account teams to ensure the plans are aligned and fully maximized.
•Increase the ROI of the shopper marketing plan across specified channels and customers
•Forecast budget requirements, create the quarterly menu of Shopper Marketing support by Channel, and build these into Annual Plans, LAMs for Innovation, and Quarterly Priorities
•Provide robust briefs to the Market Activation team
•Coach and develop junior members of the team
•Consult on the development of the Trade Advert strategy and annual plan


WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?

Required:

•FMCG experience
•Knowledge of the UK&I retailer / other channels shopper marketing landscape
•Ability to work well under own initiative while being able to showcase strong partnership and integration skills with the UK&I based team
•Exceptional organization and attention to detail skills 
•Problem solving –  needs the ability to proactively think ahead and then be solution orientated   
•Strong commercial acumen i.e. analytical and negotiation skills and financial management of large scale budgets
•Presentation skills – confident in selling and be able to present and deliver compelling and engaging proposals.
•Ability to multi-task, be highly flexible and work accurately under pressure 
•Extensive travel within UK&I meetings/events in the UK and ROI 
•Have a strong understanding of the path to purchase and shopper insights to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the shopper marketing plan
•Customer facing experience essential. National Account Management is desirable 
•Ability to build strong working relationships and influence customers and internal stakeholders at all levels. 

Preferred:

•Category Management and Brand Management experience advantageous

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?
 

•Reports to the Senior Shopper Marketing Manager
•Internal contacts are broad ranging across the entire Cluster including Market Activation, Brand Marketing, Sales, Commercial Strategy, Finance
•External contacts are primarily UK&I customers and 3rd party media agencies.
