Field Sales Training Lead

This role supports the creation, facilitation and delivery of all field sales related training in the UK.
This role will involve national training however will predominantly be office based to develop expert sales negotiators; strong product & industry knowledge and quality customer/ territory management across all Regions.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

  • Lead all training and support Field Sales Managers in the effective delivery of training to develop highly effective Field Sales Reps nationally.
  • Create and support the maintenance and scheduling of all courses to ensure core training is rolled out across the field.  Plan the constant enhancement of industry and product knowledge and sales and negotiation skills; supporting new FSRs through side-by-side training/ coaching as well as proactive support of ad-hoc training needs and skills gaps, as required.
  • Support Field Sales Operations team to devise and communicate business and product updates
  • Have a general awareness and experience in using a learning management system (LMS)
  • Effective launches and training roll out of new products with regular and on-going evaluation
  • Work closely with the Sales Operations team, Field Sales Managers, Sales Academy function, and other commercial functions to identify training to improve our overall sales performance and develop capabilities
  • To work closely with Sales Operations and Field Sales Managers to align, update and maintain all training materials
  • Contribution to the facilitation of regular induction programs and new starter follow ups
  • To ensure Sales Training manuals; guides; and product Q&A`s are constantly updated and communicated effectively

WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?

  • A proven successful sales background with strong sales negotiation & selling skills.  Mid-level professional experience working in commercial disciplines preferred.
  • Experience in coaching and proven track record in delivering and evaluating training sessions desired. Minimum intermediate IT skills in Excel, PowerPoint & Word and familiar with systems including SalesForce, Stay-in-Front etc is desired.
  • Inter-personal skills to enable working with people at all levels. Must be credible and comfortable dealing with and presenting to large groups of people.  Strong presentation, written & oral communication skills.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and control group situations with confidence and ease,  able to actively participate and contribute to meetings. Time management & planning skills that allow you to manage your own time.
  • Be self-motivated and proactive - with the ability to work on your own initiative and offer new ideas. Personal commitment to improving one`s own knowledge and sharing best practice with colleagues.

Some UK travel may be required as part of the role.
