Due to growth within the UK, my client now has a vacancy for a Business Development Manager to join their sales team in Scotland. The role will involve key account management of exiting business and new business development.

My client is a long and well established market leader within the print and packaging industry who have a strong customer base within the food and drink manufacturing marketplace.
Description
As Business Development Manager, your main objective will be to grow turnover/market share and increase profitability. You will be responsible for building relationships with current long standing existing customer, key account management and developing new business including diversification into new markets.
Profile
The successful Business Development Manager will have the following demonstrable skills:
- Proven track record within the packaging and print industry.
- Contacts within the drinks / food / cosmetics manufacturing industry would be desirable.
- Ideally coming from a sales background, however, candidates from a project management, quality, operations or customer service background within the packaging and print industry will definitely be considered.
- Experience of liaising with Category and/or Procurement Managers, NPD Technologists, Quality Managers, Senior Management would be highly desirable.
- Strong propensity to create and further develop relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a motivated, 'can do' attitude.
- Ability to communicate at all levels within an organisation, both internally and externally.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Commutable to office location within the Central Belt of Scotland.
