A great opportunity has arisen for a Supply Planning Manager to join my client a leading FMCG business based in Great London. My client is multi-national business with operations in over 100 countries and employs over 25,000 people globally.

This is a very exciting time to join my client who are going through a period of transformation and growth, as The Supply Planning Manager you will be responsible for managing the supply planning and scheduling of various manufacturing sites that have been assigned to you and your team to maximise customer service and optimise factory efficiency's.

Your responsibilities will include the following;
  • Deliver the business service and inventory KPI's for factories, co-manufacturers and co-packers via a team of supply planners.
  • Provide training & role support / direction where required via the development of an annual team training programme.
  • Develop supply mitigation strategies through service issue investigation / root cause understanding and determining long term resolution.
  • Develop working relationship with factory management teams in order to support and resolve supply issues and challenges in a timely manner.
  • Chair the monthly meeting and signing off all operational updates for the UK S&OP Board.
  • Make judgement and provide direction to mitigate supply shortfalls and highlighted idle time and report at the Board meeting.
  • Responsible for ensuring the inventory budget is delivered annually
  • Maintain the system knowledge within the team to identify opportunities and resolve challenges.
  • Generate and deliver ongoing system and process training plan for the wider Team.



The ideal candidate will have the following;
  • High degree of understanding of the Integrated Supply Chain and end-to-end Supply chain Planning processes
  • IT literate with strong spreadsheet knowledge e.g. Excel
  • Highly numerate and analytical
  • Experience of working for FMCG / retail organisation, ideally with experience of manufacturing environment
  • Ability to negotiate and influence at Senior level
  • Understanding of the Sales &Operational Planning Processes
  • Understanding of factory production processes and capabilities
  • Line management experience
