Forecast & Inventory Planner | London | £DOE

A leading UK food retailer is looking to appoint a Forecast & Inventory Planner. The candidate will be responsible for managing the forecast and inventory to achieve planned sales. By building effective forecasts, you will deliver maximum sales throughout the year especially around key seasonal events and promotional activity. Working with the Buying team, you will build and maintain dynamic working relationships and identify and exploit sales and cost opportunities.

Key accountabilities include:
Optimise profit within acceptable service levels and waste parameters.
Use commercial acumen to optimise the ERP system.
Build and maintain effective relationships with the supply base to ensure accurate planning and management of inventory.
Actively contribute to the product development and ranging process of specified category.
Strong numerical skills are essential as is the ability to analyse data to identify opportunities and threats to sales. You will be measured against forecast accuracy and the service levels, waste and profitability driven by achieving sales. With the ability to work well as part of a team, you will use your strong influencing and communications skills to deliver success within the category.
