Speedibake is a profitable, multimillion turnover business, with production sites in Wakefield and Bradford specialising in Own-Label baked goods for retail and foodservice customers. Speedibake holds UK market leading positions in its core product areas of In Store Bakery Own Label Muffins, Doughnuts and Garlic Bread, and has a diverse Client range from the major Supermarkets, Restaurant chains and Coffee shops.

The company has identified that tastes are changing and consumers are now looking for greater variety whilst still being affordable. As such, Speedibake and the ABF Group have invested significantly in long term manufacturing solutions, which will provide sustainability and potential for new and diversified product ranges. The business has further exciting investment plans to assist growth and further cement its lowest cost market leading position.

Hudson James Human Capital Group has been retained by Speedibake to recruit a Head of Supply Chain Finance on a one year Fixed Term Contract. This role will report directly to the Finance Director and will be based from Speedibake’s Head Office in Wakefield.

The key purpose of this role is to help the company achieve its goal of maintaining its lowest cost market position through Business Partnering, great insight and impact, and business-wide influencing skills.

The ideal candidate will be a Qualified Accountant with Post Qualified experience within an FMCG organisation and will be able to demonstrate exceptional business partnering skills. The successful candidate will be able to commence with Speedibake from the end of March.

The main duties are listed below and a full job description is available on request: -

  • Support strategic development and delivery as part of the Speedibake leadership team.
  • Business partner the Operations Director, and regularly talk to the Board of Directors about financial performance
  • Provide Financial support, challenge, analysis, insight and recommendations to improve performance within the factory and supply chain teams.
  • Ensure Supply Chain Finance team outputs are accurate, timely and relevant and provide insight.
  • Responsible for the production of accurate period end accounts within the required deadline and provide explanations of variances.
  • Responsible for input to ABF Group period end reporting packs.
  • Coordination and preparation of quarterly Operations and Distribution forecasts and annual budget process.

This is a one year Fixed Term Contract due to Maternity Leave. The role is working directly for Speedibake and is a fantastic opportunity to work for one of the most reputable groups in the UK, whilst opening doors for permanent opportunities within the wider group.
