Job Details

This leading Global FMCG branded food manufacturer is searching for an extremely talented MS & P Controller to drive the commercial agenda for them. With category leading products within all of the categories in which they operate you will be joining the market leader. I’m looking for a highly ambitious player for this truly challenging but high visibility role within the business. It’s a fast paced environment where you will be surrounded by hugely talented individuals and you will be able to thrive and really progress your career.

Your day to day role will include driving the development of the category vision and growth strategies, design the bottom up operational plan, be accountable for the delivering of the Annual Operating Plan and Revenue Management Plan and engage and inspire others.

In addition to this you will:

  • Be the go to authority on market and trade category dynamics for business performance insights.
  • Diagnose performance gaps and upsides for in cycle 4P planning interventions.
  • Lead the bottom – up planning process for the category from customer segmentation through to the sign off of the AOP.
  • Define and drive execution of strategies to win at shelf, range, space and layout.
  • Set out the Revenue Management agenda and promotional strategy and guidelines.
  • Lead the commercial agenda with both the brand and sales teams.
  • Manage a team.

Skills Checklist:

  • At least 5 years commercial experience across sales, marketing or category management.
  • Educated to degree level.
  • Strong business acumen, problem solving skills and commercial judgement.
  • Results driven with a sense of urgency.
  • Able to lead, coach and develop individuals.
  • Excellent relationship building and influencing skills both inside and outside of the business.
  • Impactful communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
