Senior Account Manager

Bakery. Business to Business

My client is an independent, international bakery manufacturer and distributor with a global presence serving over 40, 000 customers across the B2B, Foodservice and Grocery sectors.
Specialising in European and American style pastry and bakery ingredients and frozen specialties, they pride themselves on supplying the highest quality products and service to their customers while remaining true to the founding principles of a family-run company. 
As part of their on-going growth and expansion they have asked Scout Maven to help them attract an ambitious dynamic senior sales manager to strengthen and expand existing relationships and identify and develop new commercial opportunities and avenues of growth within the Bakery Manufacturing sector

The Role:

Working within the UK and Ireland commercial team, the Technical Account Manager will develop sales of the company’s product range through the development of new business opportunities while managing current business activities and maintaining profit margins. 
 
Main duties of the role are as follows:

  • Achieve and exceed goals, objectives and budgets which have been agreed.
  • Demonstrate products in a wide range of company situations.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities.
  • Develop a clear understanding of all capabilities and effectively communicate accordingly to new and existing customers.
  • Complete analysis and understanding of products & concepts and business-oriented communications to existing and new customers, along with completion of sales funnel.
  • Complete knowledge and continuous improvement of the market, customer, and competition information in own area of responsibility. 
  • To manage all assigned accounts effectively, efficiently, and profitably. 
  • Provide information on customer / market trends and competitors. 
  • Attend exhibitions and trade shows on behalf of Dawn Foods. 
  • Negotiate sales and promotions with new and existing customers including distributors.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ sales experience within the bakery industry. 
  • Trained baker or extensive bakery knowledge. 
  • Ability to travel, i.e. flying, driving, European and local overnight travel as required
  • Able to communicate at all levels. 
  • Team player. 
  • Demonstration of strategy thinking & planning.
