NPD Manager - x4 Direct Reports

One of the current UK’s most exciting food brands continues to build on their double-digit growth in 2016 and have created a new role within its NPD function. This business has serious growth ambitions and requires the best talent who want to help write the story and play a key part in the success where this role will lead from the front.

You will manage the team of Senior Food Technologists to deliver new product development, renovation and cost saving projects within cross functional teams and across internal and third party manufacturing and business interfaces. You will lead between 10-20 high profile projects at any one time ensuring these are delivered to the appropriate business standards and within the company’s Quality registration. Working closely with Innovation, you will maintain awareness of food trends in new finished products and ingredients and recommend opportunities for innovations within the product portfolio.

The successful candidate will have the following criteria:-

• Significant NPD and project management experience within the Food Industry
• Experience of food product and process development in a research, manufacturing or retail environment
• A good understanding of the commercial dimensions of NPD in order to operate effectively and with understanding across the business interfaces whilst managing the delivery of the NPD project
• Strong technical understanding with proven leadership and management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills achieving results through your team
• Sound decision making and problem solving skills
• Must be comfortable with working in the north of England
• Food science / technology degree or equivalent
