Divisional Head of Sales

Our client is an instantly recognisable and highly successful branded FMCG organisation in the Food and Drink sector. Their highly respected brands are the No1 market leader in their category with an international market presence and an enviable reputation for quality and innovation. Their brand portfolio is sold through major grocery retailers, as well as independent convenience, wholesale and specialist channels. They have a tremendously exciting new product pipeline backed by a very significant marketing budget, which offers enormous growth potential. 

There is now an exciting opportunity to join the senior leadership team as Divisional Head of Sales in a highly visible role, working closely with the Managing Director across all facets of the business and one that offers a genuine opportunity for personal development to become the next UK Sales Director. You will manage the entire National Field Sales team with a significant headcount of 100 plus and a multi £m budget to bring your brands to life across a multi-channel customer base ranging from the major grocers to convenience, impulse independent and specialist retailers. This role is ideal for an ambitious sales professional looking for a significant people management role to propel them to the next stage of their career.

You must have 3 key areas of strengths:

  • Multi-channel sales experience, in at least two of the following retail channels: Grocery, Convenience, Impulse, Wholesale, Independents or Specialist
  • You will have a track record of delivering real results, through a team at least 15 to 20 strong
  • Track record of entrepreneurial sales success and comfortable managing significant budgets 

In addition you must be able to demonstrate strong customer relationships at a senior level and strong leadership, communication and presentation skills are essential. A team player, you have an analytical mind yet also thrive on finding new opportunities. Your values include treating colleagues with respect and you have integrity.
